FSH overview
FSH, also known as follicle stimulating hormone, is secreted by the
pituitary gland. The main function of women is to promote the
development and maturation of follicles. It cooperates with luteal
hormone LH to promote estrogen secretion and ovulation in mature
follicles and participate in the normal formation of menstruation.
It is of great significance for the treatment of infertility.
Generally, 5-40miu / ml is considered as normal value. The FSH
value of estrogen and progesterone treatment, polycystic syndrome,
Xuhan syndrome and other diseases is low, and the FSH value of
early ovarian dysfunction, ovarian dysplasia, precocious pituitary
puberty and primary amenorrhea is high.
