Structure composition

Objective

Scope of application

Suitable for the collection and storage of arterial blood samples, and the blood gas analysis of the collected blood samples

Storage of specimens

• The blood contains active respirable cells (white blood cells, reticulocytes), which continue to consume oxygen to produce CO 2 after sampling. Generally, arterial blood samples are stored in vitro at 37°C. PaCO 2 increases by 1mmHg every 10 minutes and pH decreases by 0.01. Therefore, the blood should be sent for examination immediately after the blood is drawn. Generally, the time from the collection of the specimen to the completion of the determination should not exceed 30 minutes.
• In case of special circumstances that cannot be measured immediately, it should be placed in a container containing ice water or in a refrigerator, but the storage time should not exceed 2 hours. Place it at room temperature for a few minutes before the measurement, because every 1°C drop in temperature can increase the pH by 0.014, which also affects PaO2 and PaCO2.

usage method

1. Select the human artery and take out the disposable human arterial blood sample collector;
2. Pull the lever to the pre-collection volume position;
3. Remove the needle sheath, puncture the artery, arterial blood will gush out naturally;
4. When the arterial blood reaches the preset position, the piston vent valve is closed when wet, and the blood sampling device is pulled out;
5. Activate the safety device (buckle the button sheath or insert the needle into the cubic plastic block to prevent accidental stabbing), and remove the needle;
6. Screw on the seal to seal it and leave it for testing.

contraindication

1. Anticoagulant therapy;
2. Patients with severe peripheral atherosclerosis;
3. Patients with coagulopathy;
4. Patients with a history of vasospasm after puncture;
5. Do not sample from areas with inflammation, purulent infection, induration, scars, and skin diseases.

Precautions, warnings and suggestive instructions

1. One-time use, destroy after use;
2. If the packaging container has been opened or damaged, it is prohibited to use the contents;
3. The use of the product must comply with the requirements of the relevant operating specifications and relevant regulations of the medical department;
4. During the use of the product, it should be carried out slowly to avoid excessive force, which may cause pain to the patient;
5. After use, discard it as infected waste.

warning

• When using the product, medical personnel should collect blood samples, and handle blood samples and blood collection equipment carefully. Please wear qualified rubber gloves to avoid direct blood contact. During the whole blood collection process, please adopt aseptic technique to prevent infection of the blood collection site.
• If there are bubbles in the collector, remove them immediately and seal the sample container with a seal.
• Turn the collector upside down several times, and then roll it back and forth in the palm of your hand several times to ensure that the blood sample is well mixed.
• Avoid storing blood samples, or minimize storage time. If it is not possible to test immediately, please store it in a refrigerator at 4°C, and test the blood sample within 30 minutes after collection
